We use a number of tests and assessments to predict your suitability for driving. This includes online and supervised assessments followed by an interview and a practical on-road driving assessment in a bus/coach carried out by a qualified Bus Éireann RSA Approved Driving Instructor.
We require satisfactory references from your previous employers and finally a pre-employment medical examination.
Ready to come on board?
- a full/clean “D” Class Irish driving licence
- digital tachograph card
- driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
for Public Service Vehicle drivers

What we can offer you

In Year 1 you can expect to earn €677.44 per week and in Year 2 - €712.92 and so on. Working 5 over 7 days, an element of overtime is available to enhance these earnings.

Training and Development
Training for our drivers is varied and includes the following:
- Vehicle and route familiarisation
- Wayfarer ticket machine and ticketing procedures
- Automatic Vehicle Location
- Accident and breakdown procedures
- Periodic CPC training
- Health & safety
- Customer care
- Manual handling
- Defensive driving & eco driving techniques
- Tachograph regulations, driving hours & working time regulations
