Bus Éireann announces local service changes for Drogheda routes

On and from Monday, 26 September 2011, Bus Éireann will be providing additional changes on its Route 182 Drogheda-Ardee service and its Route 189 Drogheda-Hacketts Cross service.

Customers are advised that on the route 182 Drogheda-Ardee service an additional Monday to Friday service to Ardee departing Drogheda at 11:30am and returning from Ardee at 12:15pm has been introduced. This additional service will provide our customers with a wider variety of travel times.

The terminus for all 182 services to Ardee will be the Ardee By-pass bus stop, serving Fair Green en route. This will provide customers with additional opportunities to interchange with other Bus Éireann network services such as the route 177 to Monaghan, the route 32 to Letterkenny and the route 33 to Derry.

On the route 189 Drogheda-Hacketts Cross service the 09:45 Monday to Saturday service from Drogheda to Hacketts Cross will be advanced to depart at 09:30am. The return trip will consequentially return at 10:00am instead of 10:15am. This timetable amendment is in response to local customer requests.

Following local consultation and a review of customer journeys we decided to make additional service changes to routes 182 and 189. We feel customers will benefit from these changes and this is all part of Bus Éireann’s drive to improve services and meet customer needs,” said Joe Kenny, Regional Manager, East, Bus Éireann.

The changes to routes 182 and 189 were sanctioned by the National Transport Authority (NTA).
