Recruitment: Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanics

Bus Éireann, the national bus company, and Bus Átha Cliath, which operates bus services in the Greater Dublin Area are now seeking to recruit apprentice heavy vehicle mechanics in the following locations:

• Athlone
• Ballina
• Cork
• Dublin
• Galway
• Limerick
• Longford
• Thurles
• Tralee
• Waterford

Our apprentices are trained to the highest possible technical standards and acquire, amongst many other skills, the ability to maintain the various systems associated with modern public service vehicles. These include electronic control and  monitoring systems, computerised engine management systems and advanced vehicle diagnostics.

Placements will commence in Autumn 2012 and applicants must be at least 16 years of age, on or before 1 August 2012. Each candidate will be required to undertake aptitude tests and the results will be used to compile a shortlist for interview purposes.
