Féile Peile na nÓg and Féile na nGael

Féile Peile na nÓg and Féile na nGaelThe GAA and Bus Éireann are delighted to announce a three-year extension to their sponsorship of the Association’s Féile competitions following last year’s successful partnership as Dublin (hurling) and Laois (football) gear up for this year's competitions.

Bus Éireann sponsored the two U14 competitions for the first time in 2011 and today Dublin hurling goalkeeper Gary Maguire and Laois ladies footballer Aisling Keogh lent their support to the new three-year arrangement.

The two Féile final competitions will involve more than 4,000 boys and girls across the disciplines of football, hurling, camogie, ladies football, handball and rounders as clubs from all over Ireland and a number of overseas units come together to compete for what are the GAA’s youngest national titles.

Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Liam O’Neill acknowledged Bus Éireann’s ongoing support of what are two crucial competitions for the GAA.

He said: “Both Féile na nGael and Féile Peile na nÓg are highly valued in our stable of competitions and the community interaction between clubs that traverse the length and breadth of Ireland gives these competitions a special status."

Like the GAA, Bus Éireann reaches into every corner of the country – and further afield – and their support of the next generation of talented players, both footballers and hurlers, through their sponsorship of the Féile competitions is a tacit acknowledgement of the role our Féile competitions play the development of our underage club players.”

CEO of Bus Éireann, Martin Nolan added: “Bus Éireann is delighted to support Féile as we believe it is an excellent showcase of the energy and commitment of local communities across the island of Ireland."

Féile Peile na nÓg and Féile na nGael are fantastic examples to young people of the value of teamwork, of the pride in representing your local community, and how to enjoy playing sport in a fun and respectful way.”
