53 Bus Éireann Coaches Can Take ISOFIX Child Safety Seats

Bus Éireann is providing ISOFIX Attachment Points at selected seats on 53 of the company’s new Expressway and commuter coaches. With the school holidays finally here, families travelling around the country this summer will be delighted to know that Bus Éireann is providing ISOFIX Attachment Points at selected seats on 53 of the company’s new Expressway and commuter coaches. This will allow child safety seats that are ISOFIX compatible to be installed on vehicles by parents/guardians making it easier for families to travel with small children.

Non-ISOFIX child seats can also be used on any coach seat as long as they are secured with the seatbelt according to the child seat manufacturer’s instructions.

A total of 88 new vehicles went into service in 2012. All are Wi-Fi enabled, wheelchair accessible and meet the highest EU emission standards. Selected window seats on 53 of these new vehicles have ISOFIX fitted.

ISOFIX attachment points are available for families travelling from Dublin-Galway, Dublin-Limerick, Dublin-Wexford, Dublin-Cork, Dublin-Belfast and selected commuter services around the Greater Dublin Area.

Customers travelling on our services should look out for the ISOFIX sticker allocated on the window of 53 of our coaches.

Enjoy travelling this summer with Bus Éireann, your local, fast, friendly and reliable bus and coach service.
