Athlone holidaymakers can save money on their holiday costs before leaving the country by taking Bus Éireann’s daily services from Athlone to Dublin Airport on its Expressway Route X20 coach service.
Travelling by Bus Éireann to Dublin Airport direct takes only 1 hour and 20 minutes, which means customers don’t have to worry about driving early in the morning or late at night, fuel costs, parking or toll charges.
The Expressway Route X20 from Athlone-Dublin Airport-Dublin city goes direct from Athlone to Dublin Airport and Dublin city via the M6 motorway.
Bus Éireann operate services from Athlone to Dublin Airport on the X20 daily at 0900, 1100, 1300, 1500, 1700, 1900, and 2100.
Services operate daily from Dublin Airport to Athlone on the X20 at 0820, 1020, 1220, 1420, 1620, and 2020.
Bus Éireann’s existing Route 20 Athlone-Dublin city service operates daily every two hours and serves towns such as Moate, Kilbeggan, Kinnegad and Enfield each way along the route. Services from Dublin city to Athlone operate every two hours from 0700 until 1700 and then at 1800, 1900 and 2100.

Adult return tickets are €17.00, an adult single is €12.50 and a Family Return Ticket (for 2 Adults & 3 Children) is just €34.00. Customers are advised to buy online in advance at www.buseireann.ie to receive a 5% discount.
