Travel into Galway and get into the Festive Spirit with Bus Éireann

Bus Éireann has introduced great value Christmas Special Fares on Galway services to Galway city in the run-up to Christmas.

During the festive season, parking at some of Galway’s largest shopping centres can lead to driver frustration and traffic congestion. If you want to relax and enjoy your Christmas shopping while saving money, Bus Éireann is advising customers to plan ahead and take the bus. This will provide easy and affordable access to the city centre for shopping and entertainment.

Bus Éireann’s Christmas Special Fares are available from Saturday, 30 November to Tuesday, 24 December inclusive.
The promotional day return fares will see shoppers and revellers able to travel to the city from Tuam, Gort, Loughrea, Ballinasloe, Headford, Clifden, Kinvara, Mountbellew, Lettermullen, Carraroe and Costello for just €10 adult return and €5 child day return (Under 16’s). The promotional fare is only available to buy on board the bus or from the Bus Éireann Travel Centre in Eyre Square.

For commuters looking to avoid the Christmas traffic rush, Bus Éireann is delighted to be operating the Christmas Park & Ride service on behalf of Galway Transportation Unit. The shuttle bus services will operate daily to and from the Park & Ride at Ballybrit Racecourse to the city centre every 15 minutes from 1 December to 24 December 2013. The cost is only €2.

“Travelling by Bus Éireann is the most cost effective way for customers to do their Christmas shopping by sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the festivities in Galway city,” said Brian Connolly, Regional Manager West, Bus Éireann.
