Improved Expressway Route 20/X20, Dublin city - Dublin Airport - Athlone - Ballinasloe – Galway

We wish to advise our customers that we have launched an improved Route 20/X20, Dublin city - Dublin Airport - Athlone - Ballinasloe – Loughrea- Galway service.

The changes to the service include:

  • A new 05.30 service, Monday to Friday, from Dublin to Galway.
  • A new 05.30 service, Monday to Friday, from Galway to Dublin.
  • An additional 16.30 Friday only service from Dublin to Galway, operating via Dublin Airport

Customers should note this is a non-stop service from Athlone direct to Dublin Airport and Dublin city centre. We offer a direct service from Athlone to Dublin Airport and Dublin city centre via the M6 motorway. Customers should be advised that they can travel from Athlone to Dublin Airport in just 1 hour and 25 minutes. This gives our customers in Athlone a greater choice of services to choose from with services starting at 07.10 and finishing at 23.10.

People living in Moate, Horseleep, Kilbeggan, Tyrellspass, Rochfortbridge and Miltownpass have a great choice of frequent and direct services to and from Dublin city and Dublin Airport. The Expressway Route 20/X20 is also ideal for tourists who want to experience the rich and tranquil surroundings that the Wild Atlantic Way has to offer. Visitors from Ireland and abroad can avail of our Open Road pass for €60 which allows for 3 days of unlimited travel out of six consecutive days, across our nationwide network of services.

Customers using the Expressway Route 20/X20 service should be aware that all vehicles operating on this service are equipped with free Wi-Fi and the company’s most modern vehicles feature extra comfort seats and charging points at selected seats.
