Closure of N23 Castleisland/Farranfore to impact some Bus Éireann services in Kerry

Customers advised of significant additions to journey times and service alterations

The closure of the N23 by Kerry County Council for a three month period to demolish and replace Dysert Bridge will affect four Bus Éireann services that travel on this route.
Customers should be aware that certain journeys will take longer because of diversions, and that there may be some delays and timetable alterations to the services affected.

The N23 will be inaccessible between May 24th and August 20th 2018 to facilitate the demolition and replacement of Dysert Bridge.
Below is a list of services that will be affected as a result of these necessary works:

Route 14 Killarney/Limerick - All services operating between Killarney and Limerick will operate via John Cronin Roundabout (near Earl of Desmond Hotel).
This diversion will add 25 minutes to the journey time. Services operating between Killarney and Limerick will continue to serve Castleisland and Kerry Airport.
Please note the 18.00 hrs service ex Killarney to Limerick will operate from Killarney at 17.35 hours Monday to Saturday, for this three month duration.

Route 279 Tralee/Killorglin & Route 279A Killarney/Killorglin: As a result of the delays incurred on Route 14 due to diversions.  a number of other routes - including Route 279 and 279A - will have slightly later departure times to ensure customers arriving in Killarney can make onward connections to Killorglin and south Kerry.

Route 271 Tralee/Castleisland/Kerry Airport: Route 271 will see a number of alterations to current timetable and routing.

Customers are asked to check out www.buseireann.ie or contact customer care at 1850 836611 for updated timetable information.
