Achill Island – Westport Service Improvements

Bus Éireann in conjunction with the National Transport Authority are pleased to announce the introduction of an improved bus service on Route 440 for our customers between Achill Island – Achill Sound - Westport.

The improved services will be introduced on Sunday, 1 July 2018. 

How are my bus services changing? 

This main service changes are as follows:

• The introduction of a new 1015 weekday service from Westport to Achill Sound.
• The introduction of a new 1115 weekday service from Achill Sound to Westport.
• The current 1215 weekday Westport to Achill Sound service will now depart at 1315.
• The introduction of a new 1620 Sunday only service from Dooagh to Westport. This service will connect with the new 1825 Route 456 service to Galway
