Revamped Dublin-Rosslare Service from Bus Éireann Now Serves Dublin Airport 20 Times a Day
Bus Éireann has revamped its No 2 Dublin-Rosslare service by increasing the number of departures from Rosslare and Dublin every day and extending it to Dublin Airport via the Port Tunnel.
The no 2 Dublin-Rosslare service now departs 20 times a day from Rosslare and 20 times a day from Dublin, up from 12 departures a day from each location.
Customers will also benefit from the convenience of hourly departure times. Services departing from Rosslare are now hourly from 5.30am to 9.30pm and every two hours from 9.30pm to 5.30am. Services from Dublin are now hourly from 5am to 9pm, and every two hours from 9pm to 5am.
The no 2 route now also arrives and departs at Dublin Airport 20 times a day providing customers with an excellent value for money alternative to travelling to the Airport by car as it means they can avoid taxi fares or car parking charges. Using the Port Tunnel also significantly reduces journey times between Dublin city centre and Dublin Airport.
The Dublin-Rosslare route services major population centres such as Arklow, Gorey, Enniscorthy, Wexford Town and Rosslare Harbour and a number of towns along the route. The journey time from Rosslare to Dublin Airport is 3 hours and 50 minutes.
Fares on the route provide excellent value for money with customers able to travel from Wexford to Dublin Airport for just €19 return. Return fares from other destinations are - Enniscorthy-Dublin Airport €18, Gorey-Dublin Airport €16.50, and Arklow-Dublin Airport €15.
“Bus Éireann is delighted to provide an enhanced service for customers travelling between Rosslare and Dublin. These improvements will provide passengers with a comfortable, relaxing and great value for money way of getting to Dublin city and Dublin Airport. With fuel prices and car parking charges being so high, it has never been easier to save money by leaving the car behind and travelling with Bus Éireann,” said Andrew McLindon, Media and PR Manager, Bus Éireann.
