With weather and road conditions in the east of the country deteriorating, Bus Eireann is endeavouring to operate as many services from Dublin as possible this evening using motorways and primary roads and the Port Tunnel. Operation of these services for the rest of the evening is subject to change depending on weather and road conditions.

Dublin-Athboy 2230 service is cancelled.

103 Ashbourne - operating via Port Tunnel with delays

109 Navan / Kells / Cavan - operating with delays

109A - navan / airport - operating with delays

111 Athboy - operating with delays

115 Mullingar - 1900 Dublin to Mullingar cancelled, passengers accommodated on 1900 Ballina service

120 - Edenderry - operating with delays

126 - Naas / Newbridge / Kildare - operating with delays

133 - Wicklow - operating with delays.

Late Night Expressway from Dublin Services to Letterkenny, Derry, Sligo, Belfast, Donegal will operate per timetable

Nightrider services will operate

101 Dublin Drogheda and 100x Dublin Dundalk evening services still operating but with delays due ice and worsening freezing fog. Last services ex Dublin at 2340 uncertain.

Last 177 Monaghan to Dublin terminated in south Ardee due to very bad ice and dense fog, customers consented to going back home. Return trip 2045 ex Dublin cancelled.

Last Dublin to Cavan 109 ok for 2030 departure.

All services will be reviewed and operations may change.

Bus Eireann Service Update 7th Jan 2010, 1400hrs

With weather and road conditions in the east of the country expected to deteriorate as the day goes on, Bus Eireann will endeavour to operate as many peak time services from Dublin as possible this evening subject to weather and road conditions in Dublin city centre.

We will attempt to continue services after the evening peak using main roads and the Port Tunnel, however, services in the east of the country may be significantly restricted after the evening peak by road and weather conditions, particularly those that would normally operate through Dublin city. We will continue to monitor this situation closely.

Currently, in the east, there is disruption and delays to local services in Louth, on the Dublin-Wicklow (133), Dublin-Rosslare, Dublin-Ballivor and Dublin-Mullingar, Dublin-Ratoath services.

The majority of services in rest of the country are operating with delays in some areas. There are cancellations of some local services in Cork county and Mayo.

Road conditions in the east of the country continue to be very icy this morning. Most services in the east into Dublin are currently operating this morning with delays. Local services operating on secondary roads are expected to be ,disrupted. Majority of services outside of the east of the country are operating with some delays.
