Service Update 13th Jan 2010

Update 18.00

The vast majority of services around the country are operating as normal with some delays.

In Cork, all city services are operating as normal and services in the county are operating with some delays. Inter-city services to and from Cork are operating to schedule.

Bus Eireann will continue to monitor this situation closely and we would advise customers to contact their local travel office for information on individual services or visit www.buseireann.ie.

There is disruption to some services in Cork due to icy road conditions. All city services are operating as normal.

16.30 Cork to Tralee cancelled.

14.00 ex Dublin will operate 16.50 from Cashel to Cork

All City services are operating as normal.All service leaving Cork City Bus Station are operating as normal however the 14:00 ex Dublin to Cork cancelled (SERVICE COVERED FROM MITCHELSTOWN TO CORK)

14:30 to Tralee cancelled

236 Service the 16:00 ex Bantry will operate from Dunmanway only at 16:35 to Cork.

163 Drogheda Donore bus service has now resumed operation.

Cork-Tralee services cancelled at moment, but are expected to re-commence at 13.30

Cork-Athlone services are cancelled for the moment.

222 Cork-Fountainstown not operating to Fountainstown.

237 Cork-Goleen is operating from Clonakilty.

Services operating via Ballingeary, Butlerstown, Ballyvourney, Macroom and Haulbowline are disrupted. Ballintubber can not be served at present due to ice.

Delays are also likely to service operating in Bandon, Carrigaline and Charleville due to icy roads. Delays also likely on 249 service Cork-Garrettstown due to ice on the road along the route.

In Limerick, there is disruption to services between Scariff and Limerick.

In the east, 163 Drogheda Donore Village/Newgrange Visitor Centre is cancelled.

In Kerry, Route 40 operating with the following cancellations

13.50 Tralee to Cork

14.30 and 16.30 Cork to Tralee

Waterford Update at 11.00 Wed 13th Jan

01.30 Route 2 ex Rosslare to Dublin Airport didn't operate (driver was snowbound) - 06.00 ex Dublin Airport was consequently cancelled.

All other services operating as normal. Fog on N25 could mean delays of approx 15 minutes on Rote 40 Waterford - Cork services.

In Kerry, Route 40 is cancelled until lunchtime due to Black Ice on the Ballyvourney/County Bounds road and an there is an accident blocking the Rathmore, Millstreet Road.

Our 6.15 and 07.50 service from Tralee to Cork have been stuck for a number of hours now. They are now moving and both buses will meet in Ballyvourney and 1 bus will carry on to Cork and the other will travel home to Tralee. Passengers will be given the option to travel home or carry on to Cork.

All other services in the county are operating with many delays. Route 13/14 to Limerick are delayed by 45 mins approx.

163 Drogheda Donore bus service remains cancelled due to compact ice on road.

The 1400 Dublin to Cork service (Route 008) won't be operating today, this service is Cork operated and was unable to operate to Dublin this morning.

Route 71 cork to Athlone cancelled

Cork airport 226 service suspended

8.30, 9.30 Cork-Tralee services cancelled.

Cork-Athlone services cancelled.

Services from Cork to Dublin are disrupted.

226 City-Airport service suspended.

247 Cork-Glenville not operating at moment.

222 Cork-Fountainstown not operating to Fountainstown.
