New Services to Ireland West Airport Knock

Bus Éireann Introduces Seven Direct Coach Services a Day to Ireland West Airport Knock from Galway & Sligo

Bus Éireann is to introduce seven direct coach services a day to Ireland West Airport Knock from Sligo and Galway from 31st January 2010.

Bus Éireann has altered the routing of its Route 64 Galway-Sligo-Derry service to serve Ireland West Airport Knock following consultation with airport management. The change has been introduced on a trial basis and will be made permanent if there is sufficient demand for the service.

“Bus Éireann is pleased to be able to offer direct coach services to Ireland West Airport Knock on our Derry/Sligo/Galway route 64, connecting with our nationwide express coach network. Judging by the popularity of our other direct airport services, the travelling public like the convenience of using public transport to and from airports. Customers have no car parking to worry about, no driving and will have direct access to all the towns along the western seaboard. We look forward to working with the airport staff to make these services a success,” said Rory Leahy, Regional Manager, Bus Éireann.

The revision in the routing of Route 64 will provide seven services a day from Galway and seven services a day from Sligo to the Airport.

Services from Galway to Ireland West Airport Knock will depart daily at:

06.00 (Monday to Saturday only); 08.45; 10.30 (Monday to Saturday only); 12.00; 14.10; 16.00; 18.10.
