Bus Éireann to sponsor Féile Peile na nÓg and Féile na nGael

The GAA is pleased to confirm that Bus Éireann will sponsor both Féile Peile na nÓg and Féile na nGael in 2011.

This year’s football competitions take place in Cork between June 30 and July 2 while the hurling event will be held between June 24 and 26.

Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael welcomed the new partnership and expressed hope that the reach of both organisations would complement each other.

He said: “"Féile Peile na nÓg and Féíle na nGael are competitions that are revered by our players.

“Since 1971 they have provided our young footballers and hurlers with the opportunity to compete for national titles at a variety of different grades suited to their ability.

“They stretch right across the GAA family catering for both boys and girls and as competitions they foster the building of bonds with clubs and players, some of which last a lifetime.

“Like Bus Éireann, the GAA and these competitions reach into every area of Ireland and we look forward to working together to promote these valued competitions in the coming months".

Andrew McLindon, PR Manager, Bus Éireann added: "Bus Éireann is delighted to sponsor Féile Peile na nÓg and Féile na nGael.

“We believe this is a great match for Bus Éireann as the tournaments are a fantastic showcase of the commitment and energy of communities across Ireland."
