Alterations to services during State Visit

Update 13.35

The visit to Ireland of US President Barack Obama (23-24 May 2011) will see alterations to services.

Bus Éireann services will continue to operate as normal, however there will be alternative routings on some services around the country from Monday May 23rd to May 24th inclusive. We will be providing daily service updates and customers are advised to check the website.

Bus Éireann is working with An Garda Síochána regarding traffic arrangements and some details may be subject to change. 

Customers should allow additional time for the their journey particularly where it involves onward connections

Alterations to services are as follows:

 

Monday, 23rd May

Diversions for services to and from Dublin.

Road Closures, 

Ø      The North and South Quays closed from 11.00-21.00.

Ø      Memorial Bridge closed from 10.30-14.00.

Services Affected,

Routes 4, 7, 8, 12, 20, 22, 23, 115, 120, 121, 126 and 130

Between 1100 and 2100 these services will operate via the M50 and the Dublin Port Tunnel to and from Busáras.

Route 100X and 101

Between 1100 and 2100 these services will operate to and from Busáras only. 

Routes 1, 20X, 30, 32, 33 and 33X

Between 1030 and 1430 all the above services should operate via the Port Tunnel, East Wall Rd, Spencer Dock Bridge, Seville Place and the five lamps to Busáras. Services ex Busáras will operate the same route. 

Routes 2, 5 and 133

All Inbound and Outbound services between 1100 and 2100 should operate via Merrion Avenue, Rock Road, Merrion Gate, East Link Bridge, Spenser Dock Bridge, Five Lamps, Amiens Street and Busáras to DAP.

Routes 103 and 105

These services will now operate to/from Parnell Square West (outside Teachers Club) Until 21.00

Routes 107, 108, 109 and 111

All of these routes will operate as normal to and from Busáras. 

For Route 12 the following diversions will take place:

North and South Quays Closed from 11.00 – 21.00. All services to operate via the M50, Port Tunnel to and from Busaras.

No service to and from Ballsbridge. Moneygall  and Tommevara will not be served.

The M7 will be closed between Junction 22 and 25 from 13.00 to 16.30. The following diversion will take place: Affected services must travel via Templemore and Borrisoleigh between Roscrea and Nenagh. This will result in at least 45 min delays on services.

Services affected will be 12.30, 13.30, 14.30 and 15.30 ex Limerick and 10.30, 11.30, 12.30 and 13.30 ex Dublin.

Route will be clearly marked.
