Bus Éireann Reduces Journey Times Between Waterford and Dublin on Route 4 Expressway Service

Bus Éireann is pleased to announce an enhanced Route 4 Expressway service from Waterford to Dublin City that has quicker journey times and a direct service to Dublin Airport.

 

The significantly enhanced timetable for Route 4 Expressway service will commence on Sunday 12th June 2011, offering customers a faster and more convenient service to Dublin City and Dublin Airport from Waterford City with no stops between Carlow and Dublin.

 

There will be 9 departures daily from Waterford at 03:00, 05:00, 07:00, 09:00, 10:45, 13:00, 15:00, 18:00, 19:00, the 19:00 will operate to Dublin City (Bus Áras) Only. Eight services will operate from Dublin Airport via Dublin City (Bus Áras) at 07:00, 09:00, 11:15, 13:15, 15:00, 16:50, 19:15, 21:45 with an additional service at 23:45 departing from Dublin City (Bus Áras) only.

 

The service operates via Mullinavat, Ballyhale, Thomastown, Gowran, Royal Oak Cross, Leighlinbridge Cross and Carlow. Customers will also be dropped off at the Red Cow allowing them to connect with commuter services for the Luas.

The new early service is very appealing to customers travelling to Dublin Airport and with our high quality coaches, customers can sit back, relax and enjoy travelling to their destination. All services are now operating non-stop between Carlow and Dublin City.
