Revised North East Network affecting routes routes 100, 160 & 161 - expired
As part of an ongoing review of public transport services in County Louth undertaken by the National Transport Authority, Bus Éireann will introduce a revised network of routes linking Drogheda, Dundalk and Newry and all points along the corridor as follows:
Route 100: Drogheda – Castlebellingham – Dunleer – Dundalk
Route 160: Dundalk – Ravensdale – Carrickarnon – Newry
Route 161: Dundalk – Carlingford – Omeath - Newry
These changes will be introduced on Sunday, 30 November 2014.
This revised bus network has been designed to simplify the operations of the following routes:
- Route 100: Drogheda – Dunleer – Castlebellingham – Dundalk – Ravensdale - Newry
- Route 161: Dundalk – Carlingford – Omeath -Newry
Enhancements to the bus network include:
- Dundalk area connected to Drogheda Hospital
- Direct services from Dundalk to Newry via Ravensdale
- Later departures from Dundalk to Newry
- Improved frequency between Dundalk and Carlingford
- Improved Saturday Timetable's
- Improved Sunday Timetable's
- Standard routing for all services
The change to Route 100, 160 & 161 has been approved by the National Transport Authority and will come into effect on Sunday, 30 November 2014.
