Diversions in Cork City due to Patrick's Festival - 14 & 15 March 2015

Cork City Council have advised that St. Patricks Street will be closed to all traffic form Academy Street north side to Drawbridge Street south side on Saturday, 14 March and Sunday, 15 March 2015 from 07.00 to 21.00 to facilitate the holding of the St Patricks Festival Food Market and Performances. 

As a result, the following route diversions will apply: 

No. 202 to Knocknaheeney: Unaffected
No. 202 to Mahon: Unaffected
No. 203 to Farranree: Unaffected

No. 203 to Ballyphehane:    
Services will operate normal from Farranree as far as Christy Ring Bridge and then turn right at the junction of Christy Ring Bridge/Lavitts Quay.  Services will then travel along Lavitts Quay, turn left into Half Moon Street, Academy Street, to bus shelter (Game Stop) on St. Patricks Street.  Normal outbound service to Ballyphehane thereafter.

No. 205 to Kent Station:      
Services will operate normal as far as junction with Washington Street/Grand Parade.  and then turn right along Grand Parade, South Mall and then left from South mall to Parnell Place then right to Andersons Quay turning left onto Michael Collins Bridge, left onto Penrose Quay, right onto Ship Street, Lower Glanmire Road to Kent Station.

No. 205 to CIT:
Services will operate from Kent Station normal as far as Parnell Place Bus Station.  Then via Merchants Quay, Lavitts Quay, turning left onto Half Moon Street, Academy Street to Game Shop stop on St. Patrick Street.  Normal outbound route to CIT thereafter.

No. 206 to Grange: Unaffected
No. 206 from Grange: Unaffected

No. 207 from Donnybrook:
Services will operate as normal to Parliament Bridge, right onto South Mall to Merchant’s Quay

No. 207 to Ballyvolane:
Services will operate as normal from Merchant’s Quay via Patricks Bridge, McCurtain Street, Summerhill North and normal outbound route thereafter.

No. 207 to Donnybrook:
Services will operate as normal via Merchants Quay, Lavitts Quay, turning left into Half Moon Street, Academy Street to Game Shop stop on St.Patrick Street and normal outbound route thereafter.

No. 208 to Mayfield:
Buses form Bishopstown/Curraheen will operate as normal as far as junction Washington Street/Grand Parade.  Turn right at Grand Parade, along South Mall, Parnell Place, turning left into Merchants Quay, then operate via St. Patrick’s Bridge, McCurtain Street and normal outbound route to Mayfield.

No. 208 to Bishopstown:      
Services will operate as normal via Merchants Quay, then Lavitts Quay, turning left into Half Moon Street, Academy Street to Game Shop stop on St. Patrick Street.  Normal outbound route to Bishopstown/Curraheen thereafter.

No. 214 from CUH: 
Services will operate as normal as far as South Mall.  Buses should pick up/drop off passengers at the 206 Bus Shelter on South Mall for the duration of the road closure.

No. 214 to CUH:
Services will depart from the 206 Bus Shelter, South Mall and operate via Parnell Place Bridge, Anglesea Street, South Terrace, Georges Quay, Parliament Bridge, Grand Parade, South Main Street and normal route thereafter to CUH.

No. 215 to Blarney/Cloghroe: Unaffected

No. 215 from Blarney to Mahon Point (Jacobs Island): 
Services will operate as normal from Cloghroe/Blarney as far as Christy Ring Bridge.  Turn right at junction of Christy Ring Bridge/Lavitts Quay.  Travel along Lavitts Quay, turn left into Half Moon Street, Academy Street, on to St. Patrick Street to bus shelter on Grand Parade.  Normal outbound service to Mahon Point thereafter.

No. 216 to Mount Oval: Unaffected
No. 216 ex Mount Oval: Unaffected
Route 220: Unaffected
Route 223: Unaffected

Services to Macroom/West Cork & Tralee:           
Services will operate from Bus Station via Merchants Quay, Lavitts Quay, turning left onto Grattan Street then left onto Washington Street and normal route thereafter
