Fleadh Cheoil 2015, Sligo - Stop alterations
Please note that, due to road closures associated with Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, Bus Éireann will be required to alter some of the town centre stops and routes of the S1 and S2 services in Sligo.
O’Connell Street in Sligo town will be closed to all traffic until Tuesday morning, 18 August. As a result, the Bus Éireann S1 town service to Cartron will operate via Adelaide Street/Wine Street to Markievicz Road until this date. Customers for Cartron will be able to board the S1 at the Markievicz Road bus stop, across from the Ulster Bank.
From Thursday, 13 August to Sunday, 16 August inclusive, the John Street bus stop in Sligo town will not be served by either S1 or S2. In addition, the High Street stop will not be served by S1 (direction Cartron). The S2 service (direction Rosses Point) will not serve the Markievicz Road bus stop between these dates.
John Street bus stop
Customers for the S1 town service (direction Cartron) may board the S1 service at the bus stop on Markievicz Road.
Customers for the S2 service to Strandhill may board the S2 service at the bus stop at Centra on Knappagh Road across from the bus station or at the bus stop at IT Sligo.
High Street bus stop
Customers for the S1 town service (direction Cartron) may board the S1 service at the bus stop on Markievicz Road (across from the Ulster Bank) or at the bus stop at the Pensions Office (Caltragh Road).
Markievicz Road bus stop
The S1 town service will continue to serve this stop as normal.
Customers for the S2 service (direction Rosses Point) may board the S2 service at the bus stop beside the bus station on Knappagh Road or at the bus stop on Connaughton Road at City View.
Connaughton Road inbound bus stop (Opposite City View)
The S1 town service will continue to serve this stop as normal.
The S2 service to Strandhill will not serve this stop from Thursday, 13 August to Sunday, 16 August inclusive. Customers for the S2 service to Strandhill may board the S2 service at the bus stop at IT Sligo or at the bus stop at Centra on Knappagh Road across from the bus station.
Sligo Grammar School bus stop on The Mall
The S1 town service will continue to serve this stop as normal.
The S2 service to Strandhill will not serve this stop from Thursday, 13 August to Sunday, 16 August inclusive. Customers for the S2 service to Strandhill may board the S2 service at the bus stop at IT Sligo or at the bus stop at Centra on Knappagh Road across from the bus station.
Molloway Hill bus stop inbound on The Mall
The S1 town service will continue to serve this stop as normal.

From Strandhill to Rosses Point
Service will operate as follows: Sligo bus station stop (Knappagh Road), Hughes Bridge, Connaughton Road (City View stop), Sligo General Hospital (The Mall), IT Sligo
From Rosses Point to Strandhill
Service will operate as follows: Clarion Road, IT Sligo, Ash Lane, Hughes Bridge, Sligo bus station (beside Centra, Knappagh Road)
