Bus Éireann issues travel advice for Waterford

As has been widely reported, Waterford is experiencing a high incidence of Covid-19 in the community, currently the sixth highest in the country at 1,418 cases per 100,000 population.

Bus Éireann is also experiencing a higher than usual level of Covid-related absences in Waterford, whether confirmed cases or through necessary self-isolation.

We are working hard to manage services to try to minimise impact on customers, but it is possible that some services may be affected or cancelled as a result of staff absences.  Bus Éireann will keep intending passengers up to date at buseireann.ie and expressway.ie and we advise customers to check before travel over the coming weekend. Bus Éireann Customer Care is available by phone at 0818 836 611, 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on weekends and public holidays.

Bus Éireann is taking every possible precaution and has introduced antigen testing for employees on site, on a voluntary basis.  Bus Éireann observes all public health guidelines in our stations and on board our services, including compulsory face masks, hand sanitiser in stations and on board and driver screens.  Recent research shows that 96% of customers feel safe on our services.
