Bus Éireann announces enhanced Christmas services
Bus Éireann today, (14 December 2016) launched its timetables for Christmas and New Year, confirming enhanced services nationwide over the festive season.
Sarah McGovern launched the timetables in Busáras in Dublin, with the help of her two children Jude (5) and Robyn (2).
Bus Éireann will operate extra Nightrider late night services from Dublin to Balbriggan, Drogheda, Ratoath, Dunshaughlin, Navan, Naas, Newbridge, Sallins and Clane over the Christmas period. The company will also be operating a 24hr service on our Route 109A: Kells – Navan – Ratoath - Ashbourne – Dublin Airport – City Centre route.
In the Cork area, Bus Éireann will provide late night services at weekends in the run-up to Christmas from Cork city to Carrigaline, Ballincollig, Midleton and Bandon. The services will operate from Cork city centre on Friday 16 and Saturday 17, Thursday 22 and Friday, 23 December 2016.
City services in Cork, Galway and Limerick will operate a Sunday timetable on 26 December and a limited service will operate in Waterford city.
From 27 December to 31 December inclusive, a full regular schedule of services will operate in Cork, Galway and Waterford. The regular weekday timetable will also operate in Limerick during this period – except for 27 December when a Sunday service will be in place. All details can be found at www.buseireann.ie.
Expressway
The Expressway services will also operate every day, except for Christmas Day and customers are advised to check Bus Éireann’s website for the following full details of the modified timetables:

Model Sarah McGovern is spending Christmas Day with all of her family in her sister’s house in Blackrock in Dublin this year and is looking forward to cooking Christmas dinner with her family.
Since having her children, Christmas is all about her kids: “I've always loved Christmas but having kid’s makes it's even more special. Jude really understands it now so it's very cute seeing him getting excited about Santa! It's magical.” she said.
