Bus Éireann Services Statement

No services will operate in Leinster and Munster tomorrow but services will be provided in Connacht and Ulster

Bus Éireann wishes to advise customers that due to a Status Red weather warning, we have experienced significant disruption to services in the East today.
There will be no further commuter or rural services in the East – where there is a red warning – for the duration of the day. This includes Dublin, Wicklow, Louth, Meath, and Kildare.
Expressway inter-city services have also been severely disrupted today, and we ask people to check www.expressway.ie for updates on these.

Most other services in the rest of the country are operating albeit with delays and some minor curtailments.
For the most up to date travel information customers are advised to visit www.buseireann.ie

In light of the ongoing and increased weather warnings issued by Met Éireann, and information received from the National Emergency Co-ordination Group, Bus Éireann will not operate any services in Leinster or Munster tomorrow, Thursday March 1st, up until noon on Friday, March 2nd. The situation will then will be reviewed. We apologise for the inconvenience caused, but safety is of paramount importance particularly as the public have been advised to stay indoors from 4pm onwards tomorrow, in these provinces.

Given that all schools will also close in Leinster and Munster tomorrow and Friday, there will be no school transport services to these areas.
Local road conditions in other parts of the country - not in the red alert areas - will determine whether a full schedule of school services can run outside of this, and disruption is possible given the minor routes these vehicles traverse on.

Bus Éireann services in Connacht and Ulster are all scheduled to operate tomorrow and Friday subject to road conditions.
