Bus Éireann boost services in Cork for Ed Sheeran concerts

Extra Services from Kent Station and Lapps Quay to Páirc Uí Chaoimh

With only one week to go to a trio of concerts in Cork by the popular performer Ed Sheeran, fans can plan to avail of extra buses to the landmark Marina venue.

Bus Éireann will operate additional Route 202 services from Lapps Quay (opposite City Hall) to Páirc Uí Chaoimh via Monahan Road from 15:00hrs on May 4th, 5th and 6th next for the three concert dates.

A limited number of additional Route 202 services will also operate after the concerts also, from Ballintemple/Blackrock road to City Centre.
The regular Route 202 timetable will also operate to Páirc Uí Chaoimh - in both directions - from Merchants Quay or Mahon Point via Ballintemple/Blackrock Road.

We will also provide extra capacity on services from Kent Station to transfer concert goers to the City Centre, to allow connections onto the enhanced Route 202.
Cork City Red Zone regular fares will apply and Leap Cards and Free Travel passes will also be accepted on these services.

Given the three concerts are full capacity sell-outs, and traffic restrictions will be in place, fans are being urged to avail of public transport.
Bus Éireann will aim to cater for the demand and are working with all stakeholders including the National Transport Authority (NTA), Gardaí and Cork City Council.
