Disruptions to services on Tuesday, 7 December due to Storm Barra

We wish to advise customers of disruptions to services on Tuesday, 7 December due to Storm Barra.

Tuesday 7 December

Update 10:00

The Department of Education has advised that schools will not open in the following counties tomorrow, Wednesday, 7 December: Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Limerick, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Wexford and Dublin.

Therefore, School Transport services will not operate in these 12 counties.

All other School Transport services are expected to operate as normal.

Update 19:00

The Department of Education has advised that schools will not open in the following counties tomorrow, Wednesday, 7 December: Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Limerick, Clare, Galway, Mayo and Wexford.

Town Service Route S2: Services have been withdrawn from Second Sea Road from 19:00 to 10:00 tomorrow.

Galway

City Routes 401 and 424 are not serving Salthill Promenade from 18:00 this evening until to 06:00 tomorrow morning – diversions are in place

North West

Route 450 – Service curtailed 16:45 Dooagh to Westport will commence at Keel

Route 423 – Following 18:00 Westport to Clifden service has been cancelled

Limerick

Route 303 – following services will not operate this evening

Route W1: Power lines are down in the Clonard Park area. As a result services are unable to operate via Ballybeg. Stops listed below will not be served until further notice:

Galway

Galway City Routes 401 and 424 are now serving Salthill Promenade – Galway City Council will further assess the situation at 17:00. Customers travelling after this time should check back for updates.

Expresssway

Last departures today on Route 51 as follows - 13:05 from Galway to Limerick only and 13:25 from Limerick to Galway. Normal Services will resume from 05.00 on Wednesday 8 December.

Eastern Region

Route 109B Trim/Dublin: the road from Dunsany to Dunshaughlin is closed due to a fallen tree. Services diverted via Trim Road.

Route 163 Drogheda/Donore has been suspended from 11.15 due to road condition in the area.

Route 167 is serving all stops except Pepperstown Cross on the way to Tallonstown

Route 133 Dublin/Wicklow
Services cannot operate via Newtonmountkennedy (Wicklow southbound only) due to fallen tree approaching the village

Route 168 Dundalk/Annagassan
Services cannot operate via Dromiskin due to fallen tree between Castlebellingham and Dromiskin.

Drogheda Town Services D1 & D2
Routes D1 & D2 services will operate the coast road as Mornington road is blocked with a fallen tree.

Galway

Galway City Routes 401 and 424 are now serving Salthill Promenade

North West

Route 450 is now serving all stops

Tallonstown, Louth village and Knockbridge not being served due to a fallen tree

Route 167, 0845 service from Dundalk to Ardee will terminate at Tallonstown and return from there at 09.45

Due to road closure at Flagpoles entrance to UL, Routes 323, 304 and 304A will not be serving the university campus today. Buses will stop at front and back gates with the East Gate on Plassey Road serving as the new terminus.

Route 401 is unable to serve Salthill Village or the Promenade and services are being diverted via Devon Park to Dr Mannix Rd.

Route 424 will not be serving Salthill Village or the Promenade and services will be diverted via Taylor's Hill.

Mayo

Route 450 operating but not serving Dugort (between Keel and Dooniver) due to snow.

All services in Clare are suspended from 1pm on Tuesday, 7 December until 1am on Wednesday, 8 December.

The 07:15 Nogra – Galway and 17.00 Galway - Nogra will operate as normal.

All other 350 services cancelled Tuesday 7th December 2021.

Routes 333, 336, 341 343, 343x and 345 will operate in Clare until 1pm and will be cancelled thereafter for the remainder of Tuesday 7 December.
