Diversions in Galway due to the annual Macnas Parade

We wish to advise customers that due to road closures to facilitate the hosting of the annual Macnas Parade through Galway city on Sunday, 27 October, the following routes will be diverted:

  • Route 401 will divert from 17:30 to 19:45. The Spanish Arch, Father Griffin Road and The Cresent will not be served during this period.Departures from Eyre Square to Salthill will operate from bus stop no. 7 on the East side of Eyre Square
  • Routes 402, 404 and 405 will divert from 17:00 to 19:00. Francis Street, University Road and Lower Newcastle will not be served during this period.  Departures from Eyre Square to Merlin Park, Oranmore and Ballybane will operate from bus stop no. 5 on the East side of Eyre Square
  • Route 407 will divert from 17:00 to 19:00.  Francis Street, Wodquay and Galway Retail Park will not be served during this period
  • Route 424 will divert on the 18:00 from Galway.  The Spanish Arch, Father Griffin Road and The Cresent will not be served on this trip.  The 16:30 from Carraroe will follow a similar diversion.
