New Improved Route 424 between Galway, Carraroe, Lettermullen, Carna

New Improved Route 424 between Galway, Carraroe, Lettermullen, Carna and Route 419 Galway – Oughterard – Clifden

Bus Éireann, in conjunction with the National Transport Authority are pleased to announce a new improved Route 424 service between Galway, Carraroe, Lettermullen and Carna. There will be a 33% increase in service frequency, which is good news for customers and will include the following new services:

  • New 1930 service to Lettermullen
  • New 2100 service to Carraroe
  • New 2300 service to Carraroe
  • New 0630 departure from Lettermullen to Galway
  • New 0730 service from Carraroe to Galway

In addition to the above, there will be an enhanced frequency throughout the day. Frequency will also be increased substantially on Saturdays and Sundays with Sunday services seeing a 50% increase in frequency.

In addition to the Route 424, Bus Éireann is also pleased to announce the introduction of an enhanced bus service for our customers on Route 419: Galway – Oughterard – Clifden.  It will include the following services:

  • New daily 2015 service from Galway to Oughterard
  • New daily 2215 service from Galway to Oughterard
  • New daily 2100 service from Oughterard to Galway
  • New daily 2300 service from Oughterard to Galway

For the best value fares, customers can save by using their Leap Card and get up to 30% savings on the price of a single ticket or use a zonal product for best value multi-journey fares.

Brian Connolly, Bus Éireann, Regional Operations Manager (West) said: “These changes on the Route 424 and 419 represent a major enhancement for our Galway customers and our new evening services will provide much more flexibility and choice. This is part of the ongoing focus on improvements of services in the Galway area.”
