Disruptions to services in the Southern Region

Road Closure affecting Route 236 and 239

Cork County Council have advised that due to roadworks, the R613 will be closed to traffic from 8am on Tuesday, 27 October to 6pm on Sunday, 1 November 2020. As a result, Route 239 inbound (serving Cork Airport) and Route 236 inbound (serving Cork Airport), will operate via N71 to City Centre.

Passengers for Cork Airport should transfer to Route 226/226A in Parnell Place to access Cork Airport.

Road Closure affecting Routes 201, 205 and 219

Cork City Council have advised that in order to facilitate roadworks, Rossa Avenue will be closed from junction with Allendale Avenue to junction with Curraheen Road, from 8am to 5pm on Wednesday, 28 October, 2020.

Routes 201, 205, 219 will not serve Bus Stop 240021 (Spioraid Naoimh) on Curraheen Road for duration of closure.

Services can be accessed as follows:

Route 205 inbound to City Centre/Kent Station: customers can access service at Rossa Avenue (Allendale Avenue Bus Stop 241831) or Melbourne Road (Bus Stop 242011)
Route 219 to Togher/Ballyphehane/Mahon Point Road: customers can access service at Rossa Avenue (Allendale Avenue Bus Stop 241831) or Curraheen Road (Dean’s Hall Bus Stop 246461)
Route 201 to CUH: customers can access service at Rossa Avenue (Allendale Avenue Bus Stop 241831) or Curraheen Road (Dean’s Hall Bus Stop 246461)

Closure of Grand Parade affecting Routse 203, 207, 215, 216 & 220

Cork City Council have advised that the Grand Parade will be closed northbound from its junction with South Mall to its junction with Western Road on Tuesday, 27 October & Wednesday, 28 October 2020 from 7.30pm to 6am. This is to facilitate resurfacing works.

To access Route 203 (Farranree), Route 207 (Ballyvolane) and Route 215, please go to Bus Stop 240691 at Centra on Grand Parade

To access Route 220, please go to Bus Stop 240501 on St. Patrick’s Street (Princes Street (Gamestop) Bus Stop 244161 on Washington Street

To access Route 216, please go to Bus Stop 428971 on South Main Street
