Road Closure affecting Cork Route 236

Cork County Council have advised that R586-0 Bridge Place and North Main Street, Bandon, will be closed to traffic from its junction with MacSwiney Quay to its junction with Kilbrogan Hill, nightly from 19:00 to 07:00, on Monday, 21 June to Friday, 25 June 2021 to facilitate resurfacing works.

As a result, Route 236 services should operate as follows:

Route 236 18:00 Glengarriff/Cork: service will operate as normal as far as Baxters Bridge, turning right and continue onto the N71 and then turn left and operate via Old Chapel to Glasslinn Road, Bandon and normal route thereafter.

Route 236 18:30 Cork/Glengarriff: service will operate as normal to Glasslinn Road, Bandon and then turn left to St. Finbarr’s Place, onto Patricks Quay and on to Old Chapel.  Continue on the N71, then turn right after Bandon Civic Amenity Site (sign for Enniskeane) to Baxters Bridge and then left onto Dunmanway Road and normal route thereafter.
