The Mark Pollock

Bus Éireann wishes to advise passengers of alterations to services due to the Mark Pollock Run in the Dark event which takes place in Cork City Centre Streets on Wednesday, 11 November 2015 from 1930 to 22.30.  

The roads affected are; Grand Parade, South Mall, Parnell Place, Mayor Street, St Patrick’s Street, Academy Street, Paul Street, Cornmarket Street, Kyle Street, North Main Street, Washington Street, Princess Street, Oliver Plunkett Street, Lavitt’s Quay, Merchant’s Quay. 

As a result, the following route diversions will apply:

Route 202 ex Knocknaheeney to Mahon:  Unaffected
Route 202 ex Mahon to Knocknaheeney: Services will operate as normal as far as Merchants Quay and then via St. Patrick’s Bridge and Camden Quay. 
Route 203 Farranree to Ballyphehane: Services will operate via Merchants Quay to Parnell Place. (Terminus Riverside Merchants Quay)
Route 203 Ballyphehane to Farranree: Services will operate as normal from Ballyphehane via Copley Street, Old Station Road, Eglington Street to Merchants Quay, St. Patrick’s Bridge, Camden Quay and normal route thereafter.
Route 205 CIT to Kent Station: Services will operate as normal as far as junction with Court House/Washington Street and then turn and pick up passengers travelling to CIT at stop on Washington Street.  
Please note that there will be no through service to Kent Station for duration of road closure.  Passengers wishing to travel to Kent station can travel on Route 226
Route 205 Kent Station to CIT: Services to CIT will depart from Bus stop on Washington Street. 
Route 206 ex Grange to South Mall: Services will operate as normal as far as South Terrace and then via Copley Street, Old Station Road, Eglington Street, Terence MacSwiney Quay, to bus stop on Anglesea Street.
Route 206 ex South Mall to Grange: Services will operate from the bus stop on Anglesea Street.
Route 207 ex Donnybrook to Ballyvolane: Services will operate as normal as far as South Terrace and then via Copley Street, Old Station Road, Albert Street, De Valera Bridge, Michael Collins Bridge, Penrose’s Quay, Brian Boru Bridge to Merchants Quay and normal route thereafter.
Route 207 ex Ballyvolane to Donnybrook
: Services will operate as normal via Clontarf Street to Clontarf Street, Terence MacSwiney Quay and normal route thereafter. 
Route 208 Bishopstown to Mayfield: Services from Bishopstown/Curraheen will operate as normal to Sheares Street, then Grattan Street, Batchelors Quay, Lavitts Quay, St. Patrick Bridge, McCurtain Street and normal route thereafter.  
Route 208 Mayfield to Bishopstown: Services will operate as normal as far as Parnell Place Bus Station, Clontarf Street, MacSwiney Quay, Anglesea Street, South Terrace, Sullivans Quay, Parliament Bridge, Grand Parade, Washington Street and normal route thereafter.
Route 214 CUH to St. Patrick St: Services will operate as normal to Clarkes Bridge and then turn left onto Washington Street Terminus.
Route 214 St. Patrick St to CUH: Services will depart from Washington Street (Terminus), left onto Donovans Road, turning left onto Gilabbey Street, right onto Gregg Road and normal route thereafter.
Route 215 Ex Cloghroe to Mahon: Services will operate via Merchants Quay (Terminus), Clontarf Street, Terence MacSwiney Quay, Anglesea Street and normal route thereafter.
Route 215 Ex Mahon to Cloghroe: Services will operate as normal as far as South Terrace, then via Copley Street, Old Station Road, Eglington Street, Parnell Bridge to Bus Station (Bay 14) and normal route thereafter.
Route 216 ex CUH to Mount Oval: Services will operate operate as normal as far Sharman Crawford Street, Clarkes Bridge to Washington Street (Terminus).There will be no through service to Mount Oval for the duration of the road closure.
Route 216 ex Mount Oval to CUH: Services will operate as normal as far as South Terrace and then via Copley Street, Old Station Road, Eglington Street, Terence MacSwiney Quay, to bus stop on Anglesea Street. There will be no through service to CUH for the duration of the road closure.
Services inbound from Tralee/Macroom/West Cork: Services will operate as normal as far as Sheares Street/Grattan Street junction and then left onto Grattan Street, turning right onto Bachelor’s Quay, along Kyrl’s Quay, Coal Quay, Lavitts Quay, Merchants Quay to Parnell Place Bus Station. 
Services outbound from Macroom/West Cork: Services will operate from Bus Station via Clontarf Street, Clontarf Bridge, MacSwiney Quay, Anglesea Street, South Terrace, Georges Quay, Sullivan’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Bishop Street, Sharman Crawford Street to St. Finbarr’s Bridge to Washington Street and normal outbound route thereafter.
Route 220 Inbound from Ballincollig to Carrigaline: Services will operate via Grattan Street, Batchelors Quay, Lavitts Quay Merchants Quay, Clontarf Street, MacSwiney Quay, Anglesea Street(Terminus) & normal route thereafter.
Inbound from Carrigaline/Crosshaven to Ballincollig: Unaffected
Route 223 from Ringaskiddy: Services will operate as normal as far as South Terrace and then via Copley Street, Old Station Road, Eglington Street, Terence MacSwiney Quay, to bus stop on Anglesea Street.
Route 223 to Ringaskiddy: Services will depart from Anglesea Street
Route 226 Inbound: Services will operate as normal as far as South Terrace, then via Copley Street, Old Station Road, Albert Street, De Valera Bridge, Michael Collins Bridge, Penrose’s Quay, Brian Boru Bridge to the bus station.
Route Outbound 226: Services will operate as normal.
