Travel to Galway City Return for just €10 during Volvo Ocean Race with Bus Éireann

People in Galway and surrounding areas can travel to Galway city for the Volvo Ocean Race Stopover for just €10 return thanks to a special offer from Bus Éireann.

The €10 adult day return and the €5 child return fare from Bus Éireann will run from 30 June 2012 to 8 July 2012 inclusive. It will enable people to travel to Galway city for this exciting event on seven routes at a great value price and without the worry of finding and paying for parking or dealing with traffic delays.

With hourly services operating to Galway city from towns such as Athlone, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, and Gort, visitors to the Volvo Ocean Race Stopover will have a great choice of Bus Éireann services.

In addition, to facilitate the later events at the Race Village, Bus Éireann will offer late night departures from Galway city to various destinations as part of the €10 special fare.

Bus Éireann will offer the extra special €10 day return fare to Galway during the Volvo Ocean Race Stopover on the following routes:

  • Route 423 – Galway, Oranmore, Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Ballindereen, Kinvara
  • Route 424 – Galway, Barna, Spiddal
  • Route 434 – Galway, Oranmore, Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Ardrahan, Gort
  • Route 419 – Galway, Moycullen, Oughterard, (€6 Adult Day Return)
  • Route 430 – Galway, Oranmore, Craughwell, Loughrea
  • Route 429 – Galway, Claregalway, Tuam
  • Route 456 – Galway, Claregalway, Loughgeorge, Currandulla, Headford

Late night services:

Bus Éireann will provide a late night service to Kilcolgan, Ballindereen, Kinvara, Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Ardrahan, Gort, Oranmore, Craughwell, Loughrea, Claregalway, Loughgeorge, Currandulla, Headford, Barna, Spiddal, Moycullen, Oughterard and Tuam every night of the festival departing Galway Bus Station at 23:30.

These services will operate on the following dates from Galway Bus Station – Saturday June 30th, Sunday July 1st, Monday July 2nd, Tuesday July 3rd, Wednesday July 4th, Thursday July 5th , Friday July 6th, Saturday July 7th and Sunday July 8th.
