We’ve got the wheels turning, launching Ireland’s first ever all electric town bus service in Athlone in 2023, followed a year later by rolling out the country’s first all electric city bus service in Limerick.

The Grand Prix Award in the PwC Business Post Sustainable Business Awards for the all-electric Athlone town service
Leadership in the Public Sector for its efforts in Decarbonising Public Transport at the SEAI Awards.
Bus Éireann was awarded the prestigious Business Working Responsibly sustainability mark from Business in the Community Ireland in 2023 (the only bus company in Ireland to do so)
Bus Éireann is a proud signatory of the Elevate Pledge, part of a movement of businesses committed to building inclusive workplaces that support everyone to thrive equally.

The company is also incorporating action towards achieving a circular business model and commits to reporting compliantly and transparently under the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
