Diversions in the Southern Region due to the St. Patrick's Day festivities

We wish to advise customers of the following diversions to our services in the Southern Region over the St. Patricks Public Holiday Weekend.

202 from Hollyhill: Normal service to Camden Quay, then service will operate via Bridge Street, McCurtain St, Brian Boru St/Bridge, Lower Oliver Plunkett St and then Deane Street terminus Deane St to Clontarf St/Clontarf Bridge, Albert Quay and normal Route to Mahon Point.

202 from Mahon Point: Normal Route to Eglinton St, then via Albert Quay, DeValera Bridge, Michael Collins Bridge, Penrose Quay & Mulgrave Road (Dominican Centre) Terminus and normal route.

203 from Farranree: Normal Route to Camden Quay, then via Bridge Street, McCurtain St, Brian Boru St/Bridge, Anglesea St Terminus (opp Crawford Bar) and normal Route to Ballyphehane.

203 from Ballyphehane: Normal Route to South Terrace, then via Cotter Street, Copley Street/Old Station Road, Eglinton Street, Albert Quay Eamon DeValera Bridge, Michael Collins Bridge, Penrose Quay, Mulgrave Road (Dominican Centre) Terminus

205 from CIT: Normal Route to Mardyke, then via Prospect Row, Bachelor’s Quay, Lavitt’s Quay, Christy Ring Bridge, Leitrim Street, Coburg Street, McCurtain Street to Kent Station

205 from Kent Station: Operate to Penrose Quay, St. Patrick’s Quay, Camden Quay, Christy Ring Bridge, Lavitt’s Quay/Coal Quay (“The Funky Skunk”) Terminus, Grattan Street, Washington St/Western Road, and normal Route to CIT

206 from Grange: Normal Route to South Terrace, then via Cotter Street, Copley Street, Anglesea Street Terminus (opp Crawford Bar) and normal Route to Grange

207 from Ballyvolane: Normal Route to Summerhill North, then via Brian Boru St/Bridge, Anglesea Street Terminus (opp Crawford Pub) and normal Route to Donnybrook.

207 from Donnybrook: Normal Route to South Terrace, then via Cotter Street, Copley Street/Old Station Road, Eglinton Street, Albert Quay, Eamon DeValera Bridge, Michael Collins Bridge, Penrose Quay, Bridge Street Terminus continuing on McCurtain Street and normal route.

207A from Glenthorn: normal Route to Summerhill North, Brian Boru Street, right to St. Patrick’s Quay, turning right to Bridge Street Terminus, continuing to McCurtain and normal Route to Glenthorn.

208 from Mayfield: Normal Route to Summerhill North, to Brian Boru St, St Patrick’s quay, Christy Ring Bridge, Lavitt’s Quay/Coal Quay (“The Funky Skunk”) Terminus, Grattan Street, Washington St/Western Road, and normal Route to Bishopstown.

208 from Bishopstown: Normal Route to Mardyke, then via Prospect Row, Bachelor’s Quay, Lavitt’s Quay, Christy Ring Bridge, Leitrim Street, Coburg Street, McCurtain Street and normal Route to Mayfield.

213 Park & Ride: Normal Route from Black Ash Park & Ride Site to Anglesea Street (Opp Crawford Bar) and to Black Ash Park & Ride Site.

216 from Mount Oval: normal route to Georges Quay, to Sullivan’s Quay terminus where temporary stop will be in place, then via Probys Quay, Bishops St and normal Route to CUH.

220 from Ovens: Normal Route to Mardyke, then via Prospect Row, Bachelor’s Quay, Lavitt’s Quay, Christy Ring Bridge, Leitrim Street, turn right to Leitrim Street, Coburg Street, McCurtain Street, Brian Boru Street/Brian Boru Bridge/Clontarf Bridge, Terence McSwiney Quay, Anglesea St Terminus (opp Crawford Bar) and normal Route to Carrigaline/Crosshaven.

220 from Carrigaline: Normal Route to Georges Quay/Sullivan’s Quay Terminus, then via Probys Quay, Sharman Crawford St, Wandesford Quay, Washington St and normal Route to Ballincollig.

223 from Ringaskiddy: Normal Route to South Terrace, then via Cotter Street, Copley Street, Anglesea Street Terminus and normal Route to Ringaskiddy.

226A from Airport: Normal Route to Eglinton Street terminus, then via Albert Quay, Eamon DeValera Bridge, Michael Collins Bridge, then to Kent Station.

226 from Kinsale: Normal Route to South Terrace, then via Cotter Street, Copley Street/Old Station Road, Eglinton Street, Albert Quay, Eamon DeValera Bridge, Michael Collins Bridge, Penrose Quay, Boru Bridge to Parnell Place Bus Station.

Routes 233, 236, 237, 239 and 40 Tralee: will operate as normal to Mardyke, then via Prospect Row, Bachelor’s Quay, Lavitt’s Quay, Christy Ring Bridge, Leitrim Street, Coburg Street, McCurtain Street, Brian Boru St. to Parnell Place Bus Station.

Ballincollig

Services will operate as follows between 13.00 and 17.30:

From Cork, services will operate as normal to the Powdermills and then via the Link Road, the Kilumney Road and then Barry’s Road to the White Horse and normal service thereafter.

To Cork,services will operate as normal to Muskerry and then operate via the Old Fort Road and rejoin Main Street at the  junction, turning left to operate inbound.

Bandon
Between 14.00 and 16.00 approximately, services will operate as follows:

From Cork services will operate to Kellehers (Bandon) and then operate via the by-pass.

To Cork services will operate via the by-pass to Kellehers. Buses should turn at Kellehers for Cork.

Cahir
Between 12.10 and 13.15 approximately, customers can board services at the disused garage forecourt (Keatings Garage) opposite the Mart on the Old Cork Road.

Carrigaline/Crosshaven
From 13:00 to 15:30 approximately, services will operate as follows:

Cork/Carrigaline
Services will operate as normal to Ashgrove Roundabout, then via the Relief Road, Crosshaven Road, Ferney Road Roundabout, Ferney Road, Kilmoney Road Upper, Kilomoney Road Lower, Church Hill. Turn right to travel up Church Hill, Ferney Road Roundabout, returning to R612, the Relief Road, Ashgrove Roundabout and then operates as normal to Cork.

Cork/Crosshaven
Services will operate as normal to Ashgrove Roundabout, then via the Relief Road, Crosshaven Road, Ferney Road Roundabout, Ferney Road, Kilmoney Road Upper, Kilomoney Road Lower, Church Hill. Turn right to travel up Church Hill, Ferney Road Roundabout, returning to R612 to junction after Kilnagleary Business Park, then Ferney Road Roundabout, Ferney Road, Upper Kilmoney, Lower Kilmoney, Church Hill, Ferney Road Roundabout to rejoin R612, turning left, continuing via Roundabout at Lidl/Relief Road/Ashgrove Roundabout and normal Route to Cork.

Carrigtwohill
The town will be closed to traffic from 13.15 to 14.15 approximately.
The 13.35 from Ballinacurra will be unable to serve Carrigtwohill during the closure

Fermoy

On Sunday, 17 March temporary bus stops will be in place by Abbeyville Guesthouse for intending passengers to board/alight services between 11.00 and 13.00 approximately

Kinsale

The main stops in Kinsale will be closed from 15.00 to 16.30 approximately, as a result the 16:00 service from Kinsale will operate from the Centra (opposite the exit point from current Bus Stop location).

MACROOM

Services should operate as follows between 15.30 to 17.00 approximately:

The 13.50 & 15.50 services from Tralee to Cork via Ballyvourney & Macroom will operate via New Street, Masseytown and Coolyhane (By-Pass), proceeding to eastern end of town and re-joining main road to Coachford Junction.

The 15.30 & 16.30 services from Cork to Tralee via Macroom & Ballyvourney will operate via Coachford Junction, Coolyhane (By-Pass) and Masseytown, turning right after passing O’Riada’s Bar onto New Street and normal route thereafter.

Passengers wishing to board/alight services in Macroom in either direction will be facilitated on New Street or at Coachford Junction.

Mallow

Customers travelling to Limerick between 13.00 and 15.45 approximately should board at temporary bus stop located prior to Train Station and customers travelling to Cork will be facilitated on Cork Road opposite Roundabout Bar.

MIDLETON

Services should operate as follows between 14:30 and 17:00:

Route 40 & 260 from Cork will operate as normal to Lake View Roundabout, then R630 (St. Mary’s road) and then Youghal Road to the junction with N25 and normal route thereafter.

Route 40 & 260 to Cork will operate as normal to junction with Youghal Road, then the R630 (St. Mary’s Road) to Lake View Roundabout and normal Route thereafter.

Route 261 Outbound from Cork will operate as normal to Lake View Roundabout then take R630 (St. Mary’s Road),Youghal Road to junction with N25 and then turn right and return to Lake View Roundabout to serve Ballinacurra.

Route 261 to Cork will operate as normal to Lake View Roundabout, then via N25 to junction with Youghal Road, the junction with R630 to Lake View Roundabout and normal route thereafter

Mitchelstown

On Sunday, 17 March temporary bus stops will be in place at Oisin House for passengers travelling toward Dublin and opposite Oisin House for passengers travelling towards Cork City from 12:45 to 14:00 approximately

Youghal

Passengers travelling from Youghal to Cork may board buses at Aherne’s end of Cork Hill and at Summerfield Cross.
