Customer Notification: New Route 245X
We wish to advise customers that from Saturday 4 September 2021, Expressway Route X8 between Cork and Dublin will cease, as announced in 2020.
From Sunday 5 September 2021, Bus Éireann will operate a new PSO (Public Service Obligation) service supported by the National Transport Authority.
Route 245X will operate between Cork and Dublin via Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Cahir & Cashel, complementing the current Route 245.
The 245X service fares will vary from the previous commercial service. Customers will be able to use their Leap Card on Route 245X, now benefitting from a 30% discount on a single ticket fare. Tickets can be purchased in advance at buseireann.ie, however seat reservation will not be available.
