Major Road Closure and Diversions: MacCurtain Street for “Cork on a Fork” Festival Event
Cork City Council have advised that to facilitate the “Long Table Event” as part of the “Cork on a Fork Festival”, Mac Curtain Street will close to traffic between 9am and 11.00pm on Wednesday 14 August 2024
As a result, on 14 August, all stops on Bridge Street (216671, 216681) and Mac Curtain Street (216531, 216581) will not be served and all services that travel via Mac Curtain Street will be diverted and will operate as follows:
Route 205
- From MTU and City and to Kent Station: service will operate via St Patrick’s Street as normal. Service will then turn right and travel via Merchants Quay; left via Brian Boru Bridge and Brian Boru Street; right on to Alfred Street and then as normal to Kent Station.
- From Kent Station to City and MTU: Route will operate as normal but expect some delays.
Route 207
- From Donnybrook and City and to Glenheights: service will operate via St Patrick’s Street as normal. Service will then turn right and travel via Merchants Quay; left via Brian Boru Bridge and Brian Boru Street; continue straight to Summerhill North and then as normal to Glenheights.
- From Glenheights and City to Donnybrook: service will operate via Summerhill North as normal. Service will then continue straight via Brian Boru Street and Brian Boru Bridge; right on to Merchants Quay; left on to St Patrick Street and then as normal to Donnybrook.
Route 207a
- From City to Glenheights: Service will turn right to St Patrick’s Bridge; left for Camden Quay; left for Christy Ring Bridge; left to Lavitts Quay and Merchants Quay; left via Brian Boru Bridge and Brian Boru Street; continue straight to Summerhill North and then as normal to Glenheights, Glenthorn.
- From Glenheights, Glenthorn to City: Route will operate as normal but expect some delays.
Route 208
- From Marymount and Curraheen and City and to Ashmount: service will operate via St Patrick’s Street as normal. Service will then turn right and travel via Merchants Quay; left via Brian Boru Bridge and Brian Boru Street; continue straight to Summerhill North and then as normal to Ashmount.
- From Ashmount to City and Bishopstown: service will operate via Summerhill North as normal. Service will then continue straight via Brian Boru Street and Brian Boru Bridge; right on to Merchants Quay; left on to St Patrick Street and then as normal to Marymount and Curraheen.
Route 209
- From City to Lotamore: Service will turn right to St Patrick’s Bridge; left for Camden Quay; left for Christy Ring Bridge; left to Lavitts Quay and Merchants Quay; left via Brian Boru Bridge and Brian Boru Street; continue straight to Summerhill North and then as normal to Lotmore.
- From Lotamore to City: service will operate via Summerhill North as normal. Service will then continue straight via Brian Boru Street and Brian Boru Bridge; right on to Merchants Quay; left on to serve St Patrick Street as normal.
Route 212
- From Mahon to City and to Kent Station: service will operate to Parnell Place as normal as normal. Service will then turn right via lower Oliver Plunkett Street and serve Deane Street; continue via Lower Oliver Plunkett Street; left for Collins Bridge; left for Penrose Quay; right to Ship Street; right on to Alfred Street and then as normal to Kent Station
- From Kent Station to City and Mahon: Route will operate as normal but expect some delays.
Route 214
- From CUH and City and to Glyntown/Knockraha: service will operate via St Patrick’s Street as normal. Service will then turn right and travel via Merchants Quay; left via Brian Boru Bridge and Brian Boru Street; right on to Lower Glanmire Road and then as normal to Glyntown/Knockraha
- From Knockraha/Glyntown to City and CUH: Route will operate as normal but expect some delays.
