Limerick – Shannon – Ennis Corridor: Service Enhancement
Bus Éireann, in conjunction with the National Transport Authority (NTA) are pleased to announce the introduction of significant service enhancements on the Limerick – Shannon – Ennis Corridor (Route 343) from Sunday 25 August 2024. These changes are part of a Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan service enhancement.
These enhancements will see the current Route 343/343x: Limerick – Shannon – Ennis and Route replaced by the following routes providing significant increases in frequency and hours of operation:
- Route 343: Limerick – Bunratty – Shannon Town – Shannon Airport
- Route 330: Ennis – Newmarket on Fergus – Shannon Town – Shannon Airport
- Route 330x: Ennis – Limerick (peak hour service only)
- Route 316: Sixmilebridge – Shannon Town – Shannon Airport
- Route 317: Limerick – Cratloe – Sixmilebridge –Kilmurry - Quin – Ennis
- Route 317a: Limerick – Bunratty – Sixmilebridge – Kilmurry – Quin - Ennis
The enhanced frequency of service is as follows:

From Sunday 25 August 2024, routes 341 and 346 will be replaced by enhanced 332 and 343 services. Route 341 passengers between Cappamore and Limerick are advised to use route 332, which will have new trips added running to similar times of route 341, and passengers between Limerick and Shannon are advised to use the enhanced 343 service. Route 346 passengers are advised to use TFI Local Link Limerick Clare services between Whitegate, Scariff, Tulla, Kilkishen, Broadford and Limerick
For the best value fares, customers can save by using their Leap Card or the TFI Go-App and get up to 30% savings on the price of a single ticket.
